Quiz: Implementation and integration

Think you know Implementation and integration? The quiz will find out. Every question has a clear answer, a timer that is polite but firm, and an explanation that tells you why the wrong choices looked so tempting.

Pick the right answer before the clock picks for you.

What you will practise

You will practise Implementation and integration, with questions touching implementation.

  • Implementation

It is part of the AWS Certified Generative AI Developer - Professional track (AIP-C01), where Implementation and integration is about 26% of the exam.

A taste of what you will get

  • When using the Converse API with tools, how does the model signal that it wants your code to run a tool?

    • It calls your Lambda function directly from inside Bedrock
    • stopReason is "tool_use" with a toolUse content block
    • It returns an HTTP 302 redirect to the tool's own endpoint
    • It sets its temperature to 0 and repeats the request

Answer: stopReason is "tool_use" with a toolUse content block. The response carries stopReason "tool_use" and a toolUse block with the tool name and input. Your code runs the tool and sends a toolResult back. The model never invokes your code itself.

  • An agent loop occasionally runs for hundreds of iterations and burns budget. Which TWO controls address this directly?

    • A larger context window so the agent can keep going
    • Enabling model invocation logging for every request
    • A higher temperature setting on each model call
    • A timeout on the Lambda function or state machine
    • A maximum-iteration limit in Step Functions or code

Answer: A timeout on the Lambda function or state machine and A maximum-iteration limit in Step Functions or code. Stopping conditions and timeouts bound the loop. A bigger context window lets it run longer, logging observes but does not stop, and temperature does not enforce limits.

How scoring works

  • Every correct answer pays 10 XP for each difficulty level, so an easy item is worth 10, a medium one 20 and a hard one 30.
  • Answer with time to spare and you can earn up to 5 bonus XP on top.
  • A wrong answer pays nothing. It does not cost you anything either.
  • Flashcards pay 2 XP each time you grade yourself 3 or higher.
  • Using a hint costs 2 XP, so use it when it helps, not when it is comfortable.
