Whiteboard: Guidelines for responsible AI
Knowing the Guidelines for responsible AI services is one thing. Knowing where each one goes is another. Each round gives you a requirement and a diagram with empty boxes: drag the right services in, leave the decoys out, and read why each piece fits.
Draw the design before someone asks you to.
What you will practise
You will practise Guidelines for responsible AI, with questions touching AI transparency and responsible AI practices.
- AI transparency
- Responsible AI practices
It is part of the AWS Certified AI Practitioner track (AIF-C01), where Guidelines for responsible AI is about 14% of the exam.
A taste of what you will get
Recruiters draft job ads with AI. Zara needs discriminatory or harmful wording blocked both ways, and evidence that the chosen model scored well on toxicity and robustness.
Sample design 1: Zara's job-ad writer. Which service fills the empty box?
- Amazon Bedrock Guardrails
- Amazon Inspector
- Amazon Macie
Answer: Amazon Bedrock Guardrails. Filters harmful or discriminatory content in both the request and the generated ad.
The regulator needs a clear reason for every shortlisting decision, and a record of what the model is for and its limits.
Sample design 2: Ben's explainable shortlist. Which service fills the empty box?
- Amazon Polly
- Opaque deep neural network
- Simple, interpretable model
Answer: Simple, interpretable model. Shows how each input drives the decision, so every outcome can be explained.
How scoring works
- Every correct answer pays 10 XP for each difficulty level, so an easy item is worth 10, a medium one 20 and a hard one 30.
- Answer with time to spare and you can earn up to 5 bonus XP on top.
- A wrong answer pays nothing. It does not cost you anything either.
- Flashcards pay 2 XP each time you grade yourself 3 or higher.
- Using a hint costs 2 XP, so use it when it helps, not when it is comfortable.
